Use the arcotest® test inks to quickly and easily test the surface tension of various materials. This enables reliable statements about the adhesive strength of printing dyes, paints and glues on plastic, metal, glass and more substrates.
Using arcotest® test inks to determine the surface tension is very simple: Use a test ink with the defined surface tension to draw a short line onto the surface to be tested and observe the line’s behaviour. Just a few seconds later you will have a reliable result in mN/m (dyne).
To make testing even easier, arcotest® inks are also available as pens. You can use them like any felt-tipped pen, eliminating the risk of spilling ink.
Apart from our trusted test inks in the PINK and BLUE series (as per DIN 53364 and/or ISO 8296), we also offer you an entire range of innovative products for determining the surface tension of your materials.
To further simplify the handling of our test inks, we developed arcotest® ORGANIC. It provides you with a non-toxic, non-environmentally harmful and non-hazardous alternative to traditional products. Application and handling are aligned with DIN 53364 and/or ISO 8296.
If you, however, want to quickly assess polyolefins, we have two test ink series for you: QUICKTEST 38® and RAPIDTEST 38®. Both are available as handy pens and ideally suited to quick testing and sampling. The pen continually displays the test result, simplifying permanent archiving.
You can also use arcotest® test inks to safely identify contamination. arcospray® 38 enables residue-free testing of large and small surfaces for freedom from grease.
You make use of the fact that you can assume freedom from grease if the surface tension is 38mN/m or higher. Within two seconds the spray delivers reliable results and then evaporates without leaving any residue.
