Pour le test, il suffit d\u2019appliquer un trait d\u2019encre sur le substrat pr\u00e9trait\u00e9. Si la tension de surface de l\u2019encre de test correspond \u00e0 celle du substrat, le trait ne se r\u00e9tracte pas et ne s\u2019\u00e9tale pas non plus. Cette v\u00e9rification peut \u00eatre effectu\u00e9e en un point pr\u00e9cis ou sur une surface \u00e9tendue, que la surface \u00e0 tester soit immobile ou en mouvement. La <\/span><b>pr\u00e9cision de cette m\u00e9thode<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> est de l\u2019ordre de +\/-1,0\u00a0mN\/m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Une <\/span><b>mesure de l\u2019angle de contact <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">en laboratoire permet d\u2019obtenir des r\u00e9sultats encore plus pr\u00e9cis.
