How does the flame treatment with the burner work?<\/h2>\r\n <\/div> \r\n <\/div> \r\n \r\n <\/div> \r\n <\/div>\r\n \n\n\n

The flame treatment of plastic parts and films<\/strong> is an established method for physical surface activation. A specially adjusted flame is used, in which oxygen molecules and combustion products are present in activated form in the flame plasma. These free radicals break down the non-polar molecular chains on the substrate surface and thus enable the permanent binding of<\/strong> paint, varnish and adhesive molecules.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Possible with all burner types: silica coating<\/h3>\r\n <\/div> \r\n <\/div> \r\n \r\n <\/div> \r\n <\/div>\r\n \n\n\n

For special applications, a silane compound<\/strong> can be added to the flame of all burner types. The silane burns in the flame to form silicate and forms a wafer-thin film of a few nanometres thickness on the substrate surface, which is called the silicate layer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A flame treatment system usually consists of one burner (or several burners), which are regulated by a central control unit. For use in the laboratory, in standby and repair operations or in small-scale production<\/strong>, however, it is often recommended to use a manual system (manual flame treatment FTM<\/a>). The burner type of our FTM system has a special handle, which allows the flame to be switched on or off, ensuring safe handling at all times.
